Money Pies — Privacy Policy

Money Pies is a budgeting app. Your budget lives on your device; this policy explains the little we handle beyond that.

What we collect

• Nothing, if you use Money Pies as a guest. All budget data (pies, transactions, goals) is stored locally on your device.
• If you create an account: your email address, optional display name, and your marketing-email preference.
• If you're signed in, your app data syncs to our server (hosted on Cloudflare) so it follows you across devices. It's transmitted over HTTPS and used solely to provide sync — never sold, never used for advertising.
• Subscriptions are processed by Apple, Google and RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status, never your card details.
• AI features (receipt scanning, money chat, stock lookups) send the specific content you submit — a receipt photo, a chat message, a ticker — to Anthropic's Claude API via our server to generate the response. This content is not used to train models per Anthropic's commercial terms.

Emails

We send transactional emails (sign-in codes, subscription receipts). Marketing emails go only to people who opted in, at most a couple per month, with unsubscribe honoured immediately.

Retention & deletion

Delete your account in the app (or email us) and we erase your account, sessions and synced data from our server. Local data is deleted by removing the app or using Settings → Reset all data.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may access, correct, export or erase your data at any time — the app's Export button gives you a full copy, and account deletion is built in. Questions or requests: arthughes21@gmail.com.
